Venue


The IJCLR conference will be hosted at the Demokritos Congress Center located inside the campus of the National Center of Scientific Research "Demokritos" in Athens, Greece. Τhe campus of the Research Center is a very pleasant 600-acres wooded area in the city of Agia Paraskevi, at the base of Mount Hymettus. It is 10 km away from the Athens city center and only a 15-minute high-way drive from Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport.

Demokritos Cogress Center comprises of amphitheaters, lecture-halls, meeting rooms and lounges, all equipped with high-tech audiovisual capabilities. Expert technical support is available during all the events. It is available to Academic Institutions, Organizations in the public and the private sector as well as to Scientific, Educational and Cultural Associations and Societies in order to host Scientific Conferences, Workshops, and Social Events. The Centre provides hospitality facilities, a spacious parking area, access to ATMs as well as 24-hour security and controlled entry services.

Access NCSR “Demokritos” from the centre of Athens:

  1. By Bus: Take the bus B5 from the Central Railway Station towards Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the “4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi”. The bus stop is very close to the main entrance of NCSR “Demokritos”. Depending on the traffic, the journey from the centre of Athens may take from 45 to 60 minutes. Get the OASA Telematics app for real time bus information or you can use Google Maps.

  2. By Metro and Bus: Take line 3 of the metro (blue line) to “Doukissis Plakentias” direction and get off at “Nomismatokopio” stop. Follow the “Kondylaki” exit where you can reach the bus station. Take the B5 bus or the 407 bus towards the direction of Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the “4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi”. The bus stop is next to the main entrance of NCSR “Demokritos”. Depending on the traffic, this journey from the centre of Athens may take approximately 30 minutes.

  3. By Taxi: Taking a taxi from the centre of Athens to NCSR “Demokritos” costs approximately 10 Euros. Depending on the traffic, the journey from the centre of Athens may take from 20 to 30 minutes. There is a 24H radio taxi service. You can book a taxi by dealing the number 18180. You can also use the Beat app from your phone to book a taxi.

Access NCSR “Demokritos” from the Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”:

  1. By Bus: You take the “X95” bus and get off at the Nomismatokopio Metro Station. Take the B5 or the 407 bus towards the direction of Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the “4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi”. The bus stop is next to the main entrance of NCSR “Demokritos”. Depending on the traffic, the journey from the airport may take 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  2. By Metro and Bus: Take line 3 of the metro (blue line) and get off at “Nomismatokopio” stop. Follow the “Kondylaki” exit where you can reach the bus station. Take the B5 bus or the 407 bus towards the direction of Aghia Paraskevi, and get off at the “4th stop of Ag. Paraskevi”. The bus stop is next to the main entrance of NCSR “Demokritos”. Depending on the traffic, this journey from the airport may take approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.

  3. By Taxi: Taking a taxi from the airport costs 38 Euros (54 Euros after midnight). Depending on the traffic, the journey from the airport may take from 20 to 30 minutes. There is a 24H radio taxi service. You can book a taxi by dealing the number 18180. You can also use the Beat app from your phone to book a taxi.

Buses and taxis depart just outside the exit at the (airport) Arrivals level. Just follow the “Buses / limousines” signs. At the bus departures area there is also a ticket booth which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
